wow, last post 27 May...I have been avoiding the news!
It is hard to remain positive these days...keeping the news off as much as possible so I don’t have to hear: 1) the kenyan’s stilted speech patterns, 2) listen to drivel about how last week was significant in the passing of three pop icons, and people will remark in the future “what were you doing when Ed, Farrah and Michael passed away?” (on Christian radio no less...guess proximity to the DC beltway even adversely affects a biblical world view) and 3) listen to a “semen stained” media proselytize for progressive (a.k.a. fascist) policies and federal punishment of private industry and private individuals.
Opening the Wall Street Journal this morning, I said “Oh no” upon viewing the Honduran overthrow of its president. I quickly changed that to a “Oh, good) when looking more closely to see that both Venezuela and the United States were opposed to the exiling. Being on the same side of any issue as Hugo the magnificent can mean only one thing: we are on the wrong side. Completely missing was usual and expected self aggrandizing generalissimo who was now running his own banana republic. Instead, a politician was selected by the Honduran Congress to fulfill the remaining term the ousted president who was attempting to circumvent constitutional restraints (term limits) and hold an illegal referendum (not allowed within 6 months of an election) to do so. We ought to be celebrating this moment. Over thrown by those who wish to retain democracy and freedom for the Honduran people. But, our erstwhile socialistic state department encouraged by our own friend of hugo have decided to side with the fascists.
This is a continuation of the path our President, the African Colonial Potentate (c.f., L.E. Ikenga http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/06/obama_the_african_colonial.html), has embarked on to change what America (as in the United States) stands for from freedom to fascism. Not so subtly addressing the arab street and never mentioning freedom once, he has set the stage for a new America...one where “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” is replaced by a continual overreaching federal government that seeks to enslave a willing populace with
Democracy and freedom are breaking out all over despite our best efforts. Lebanon rejected Hezbollah (Syrian/Iranian funded) at the polls, Iranian’s are fighting a losing battle (and their lives) against the theocratic leader, Iraq continues on path to return to the Iraqi’s (just hope it is not too soon). And where is the leader of the free world? Enhancing his rock star image by visiting the little people (like getting ice cream in Alexandria), clearly frustrated that this past week has seen him rebuffed by freedom loving people across the world.
How long until we get some politicians with the hutzpah to stand against our own banana republic dictator who is seeking to destroy the strength of America though imposition of fascism? We certainly didn’t see it demonstrated in congress last week (solving global warming through cap & tax...err...trade).
